Rubican was originally launched as a Trade Services arm to International Logistics firm Sealion Cargo. Soon after, the company found a niche in Canada’s Logistics industry as a hands-on finance and business advice expert.

Jeremy Lloyd | President

Educated in international finance, Jeremy started his career with Export Development Canada (EDC) before representing Scotia McLeod throughout Asia for over a decade.

Jeremy has spent most of his adult life living and working overseas. Establishing important business relationships along the way – kings, diplomats, and industrialists – he’s had quite the journey from his treasured small-town East Coast roots.

In 2012, Jeremy became a founding member of ClientReferrals, connecting hundreds international businesspeople with Canadian business opportunities. He’s also caught the international trade bug, helping facilitate exports of everything from Atlantic lobster to West Coast lumber.

Sometimes referred to as Connector-in-Chief, Jeremy now leads Rubican’s team, and helps SME Canadian companies expand internationally.

Having travelled to over 48 countries, Jeremy is always looking forward to exchange travel stories and discuss international business.
